Let’s welcome the gorgeous Tanushree from Diary of a Young Book Reviewer. We met on Instagram. Her page is beautiful, and I found myself reading lots of her recommendations. She’s sweet and engaging. Even to strangers halfway across the world! so, let’s get to know her…
1. 𝙒𝙝𝙤’𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙮𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙? 𝙏𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙪𝙨 𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛.
Gah, behind the keyboard is a slightly awkward extrovert who also happens to be a romance book lover. I have been reading books for so long until last year I decided to make myself useful rather than being a couch potato and review the books that I love and help the authors in a way.
2. 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙜 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨?
There isn’t a particular book that made me realise that I wanted to blog about books but it was the books(that I read) in general that made me open my own blog. It seemed fun and it was kind of productive. I also made friends with lots of new bookstagrammers, authors and book bloggers from different parts of the world and I think that alone made this journey worthwhile. I found an incredible community of wonderful women and I kind of loved helping them out and spreading news about good books with cute covers, interesting plots etc.
3. 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝘽𝙍 (𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨)? 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙚𝙨, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧?
There’s no end to that list lol. Some books have been announced and some are still a long way from their release date but most of them are actually available and I haven’t got around reading them yet. But I am definitely looking forward to the ‘Boston Belles’ series by L.J. Shen. Also ‘Wild at Heart’ by K.A.Tucker is sitting on my TBR for quite some time now and I am hoping to get started on that book.
4. 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 “𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙨” (𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙, 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘, 𝙟𝙪𝙣𝙠, 𝙣𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙣)?
Food? Yes. Music? A must. Naked men? Sure lol.
5. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙖 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠?
Hardest thing? I don’t think that I had to say anything hard about a book(at least not yet). I write about what I honestly felt about the book and leave it to that.
6. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙖𝙡𝙡-𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠?
Hard to choose but I would say its a ‘Mr. Perfect’ by Linda Howard ( love ‘Call Me Irresistible’ by Susan Elizabeth Phillips too). But anything Sandra Brown or Anne Stuart works fine for me. But seriously I have a big list of favourites and Susan Elizabeth Phillips is my all time favourite but recently I am bit partial about Jewel E Ann. But there are so many authors and amazing books that it’s hard to choose a single favourite. This is a tough question and I have no definite answer lol.
7. 𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙜𝙤 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙣 𝙖 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙪𝙣𝙠?
Sandra Brown. I start reading my favourite books again or choose random books to read. Recently I have started binge reading old Jewel e Ann books.
9. 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙧𝙚? 𝙒𝙝𝙮?
Romantic Suspense. I like the mystery and love to solve it too. The romance is an added bonus.
Let’s get to know you a little more:
1. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙥 3 𝙈𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙨 (𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧)?
Omg! That’s a tough question lol. There are so many but ‘Titanic’, Me Before You’ and ‘Pretty Woman’ are some of my favourites.
2. 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙥 3 𝙏𝙑 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 (𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙨 𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧)?
Friends is an all time favourite. Love The Crown and Downton Abbey too. There is a lot more in the list lol.
3. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙙 10 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙪𝙥 𝙞𝙣 𝙛𝙡𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙨, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙙 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙗?
The obvious and truthful answer is my cell phone . I can’t live without it lol. But I would like to make sure that my family is alright too.
4. 𝙉𝙖𝙢𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙢 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙗𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩?
Travel foreign countries. Like a solo trip or something. Learn new cultures, definitely. Try to learn a new language(s).
5. 𝙁𝙖𝙫𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙟𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙣’ 𝙩𝙤 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬.
I am currently loving ‘boyfriend’ by Salena Gomez.
6. 𝘼 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙡𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙖 𝙢𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙚/𝙩𝙫 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙨?
The Discovery Of Witches has already been adapted into a TV series and the cast is spot on too.
7. 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙞𝙩 𝙗𝙚?
I am a new blogger myself and I am trying to learn about it as I go but I would definitely suggest blogging about something that you are truly passionate about and posting something interesting related to that subject everyday( or as much as you can). Try to organise an author interview or a giveaway or stuff like that really helps. Also try to create a NetGalley or Edelweiss account. Also you can request books from authors or publishers. Reviewing ARC’s definitely helps your following but don’t request too many books at once. That can be stressful.
𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨.
Down to earth(told by others). Funny, witty and the most unromantic person ever. An interesting blend of introvert and extrovert who loves to read and review romance books. I would give myself a 4 star rating cause nobody’s perfect lol.
